New Delhi, Mar 1: In a unique celebration of the centenary year of Indian cinema, Muse Movies has announced that it is making one feature film, encompassing 10 benchmark films, which will change the perception about cinema and set futuristic trends.
Muse Movies is a division of Muse Advertising, a creative advertising agency specialising in creative communications and brand consultancy. Its initiative is called 100 years of Indian Cinema muse.
"Today all forms of art are evolving beyond their domains and experimenting with each other. Cinema too should go beyond the multiplexes and become subject of research, school curriculum, humanities and several more areas. 100 years of Indian Cinema muse is a cultural and psycho-social renaissance of Indian Cinema," said Manoj Maurya, founder-director of 100 years of Indian Cinema Muse.
The films will talk about the need for cinema for children as well as for the visually challenged; the symbiosis between cinema, politics and media; cinema as a source of inspiration; the business of film criticism; the cold war between makers and audiences and other relevant subjects that compile the past, contemporary state and future that lies ahead of Indian Cinema.
These 10 different films are a part of one feature film, said a statement.
The Indian Cinema muse is inviting filmmakers across the country and the world to express their views on 100 years of Indian Cinema through Expressions, a short film contest.
Also, creating an online museum is being attempted. It will house personal collections of objects, films, and other memorabilia related to Indian cinema. It could be an autograph, a photograph, a gift, vintage posters, video clips, or any belongings related to Indian cinema.
